
Tortillas
We all love tortilla’s , well most of us. A favourite of all time for kids and teens ! As, the children are home and homeschooling, The children are always needing some feeding . This Recipe is quick , and you could also add your left over chicken in the wraps for dinner or lunch , or grate some cheese and make a simple quesadilla – as a quick lunch with some hummus.
You can wrap up anything in them , bake them and sandwich them . This is a simple and quick recipe that you can make on the spot and make your own tortilla wraps , Quesadilla, enchiladas and or bake them in the oven to make nachos .
Kneading is a great skill for the children to learn helps with their motor skills , it’s fun and relaxing .
Home Made Tortilla Wraps
- 3 cups all purpose flour ( Can use gluten free too)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 Tsp Salt
- 1/3 cup Olive oil
- 1 Cup Water
Directions
- In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Stir in water and oil. Turn onto a floured surface; knead 10-12 times, adding a little flour or water if needed to achieve a smooth dough. Let rest for 10 minutes.
- Divide dough into 8 portions. On a lightly floured surface, roll each portion into a 7-in. circle.
- In a greased cast-iron or other heavy skillet, cook tortillas over medium heat until lightly browned, 1 minute on each side. Keep warm.
