The MKFoodFest has become the biggest one-day food festival to be held in Milton Keynes. Now into its fourth year, the event has moved to the Pavilion in Middleton in order to accommodate its growing size and popularity. This year the festival will be held on Saturday 14th September, between 11am and 5pm.
We anticipate over 80 local food and drink businesses to attend, offering 15 types of street food cuisine, a wide variety of farmers’ market stalls, handmade products from artisan food and drink producers, and a well-stocked bar of local beer, cider and gin as well as Prosecco and cocktails.
With a program of cooking demonstrations, foodie talks and children’s activities running throughout the day, there will be plenty of things to keep you well-informed, educated and amused. Couple that with a full day of live music from local musicians, you can expect to be thoroughly entertained whilst you enjoy tucking into freshly cooked food and sipping a refreshing drink. Bring a picnic blanket and stop for longer to enjoy an ice-cream, a piece of cake or a milkshake whilst soaking up the atmosphere and delicious smells.
As a not-for-profit organisation we are keen to support local food charities and we will once again be supporting the MK Food Bank so don’t forget to bring along something for their food collection boxes. Find out more about some of our other local food charities too whilst you are there.
Everyone loves food and drink and it is even better when it is local. So bring the whole family to this free event and get a taste of the best of Milton Keynes food and drink in this lovely village-feel location in our vibrant town.
