Unique fusion of Indian & Nepalese flavours!

Well, to be honest when my wife booked it for us, I was expecting it to be a standard Indian restaurant with the same dal makhni and chicken tikka masala kind of menu! But I was pleasantly surprised. Ended up ordering a couple of different dishes in lamb and prawn, with my favourite being Sekua which was the lamp filled and rolled papadam dish full of spices and flavour.

    What a Fab Meal!

I''ve had napalese food before but never really enjoyed it. But I have to say that our experience at blue monk has converted us. Every dish had it's own unique flavour and worked well without any breads or condiments to enhance it. The service was top notch and Jay was kind enough to take us to the kitchen to show us the traditional spices they use to make fresh curries every time - which explains the aromas and unique flavours. Whether you like spicy or mild, the food was just finger licking good and I would definitely make that special trip to go an eat this food again. ⠀

We ordered Lamb Sekwa for starter and main course was Naga Mirchi Lamb, Prawn Biryani and Seafood Moilee . I cannot fault a single dish and cannot compliment them enough either. We left the restaurant so satiated and in aww.. You really have to taste it to know it.. ⠀

They unfortunately haven't started their Desserts but I can't wait for when they do because I'm excited to see what they have to offer. I will be going back there again in the new year for sure! ⠀
