Green Chilli Chutney

I hope you’ve tried and enjoyed the previous recipes. If you know much about Indian Food, condiments and spices are key. This recipe is an absolute riot of flavours and great for chilli lovers.  I recommend pairing it with my first recipe of Baked Pakoras.

Prep time: 10 – 20 mins
No cooking required

Ingredients

  • 10 or more green chillies
  • 1 onion quartered
  • 1 tomato quartered
  • 1 tsp of lemon juice
  • A little bit of ginger
  • 1 garlic
  • Salt to taste
  • Half a bunch of fresh coriander
  • Plain yogurt

Method

  • Place all the ingredients into a blender except yogurt and salt
  • Blend until all smoothe
  • Pop into a tub and stir.
  • You can make this chutney as hot as you like.
  • 3-4 tbsp of plain yogurt into a bowl and then add a few tsp of chutney to yogurt and stir.
  • Taste it and see if you want to add more or less of the chutney or yogurt and add salt to your liking.
  • The rest of the chutney can be kept in the fridge for a few weeks or you can freeze it in smaller batches.
  • This can be made in advance.
  • Enjoy with pakoras.
